You can pay for your care privately, or you may be eligible for all or part of your care costs to be paid for by your local authority.
Your local authority will assess each case on an individual basis, according to your care needs and personal circumstances and may or may not take into account any assets you have (e.g. house or cash in the bank).
If your local authority is able to fund all or part of your care, they may pay for it for you, or they may give you a direct payment for you to spend as you wish on purchasing care. Different local authorities operate slightly different systems.

Ask your local county council adult care team if you may qualify for funding from your local authority and arrange for an assessment to take place
Ask your care provider about different payment options. Is there a discount for paying in advance or by direct debit?
